Waste Separation for a Sustainable Future
Central Group Waste Management Policy under the “Love The Earth: Zero Waste” Initiative
Why Waste Separation Matters
Central Group recognizes that waste separation at the source is a fundamental pillar of effective waste management. Proper waste separation delivers four key benefits:
- Reduces the amount of waste sent to landfills by enabling materials to be recycled or reused.
- Lowers waste disposal costs by decreasing the volume requiring specialized treatment.
- Conserves energy and natural resources, such as reducing deforestation through paper recycling and preserving minerals through metal recycling.
- Minimizes pollution and environmental impact by preventing mixed waste incineration and contamination of ecosystems.

- Recyclable Waste: Rinse thoroughly and remove all liquids before disposal in yellow bags
- Fuel Waste: Remove liquids and food residues before disposal in white or black bags
- General Waste: Waste that cannot be recycled or used as fuel should be minimized as much as possible and disposed of in blue bags
- Hazardous Waste: Items such as batteries, light bulbs, and aerosol cans must be stored in sealed containers and disposed of in orange bags*Do not dispose of hazardous waste together with other waste types
