CRL Welcomes Students from UVSQ – Paris Saclay University

On Wednesday, 22 April 2026, Central Retail Logistics (CRL) welcomed a delegation from Université de Versailles Saint‑Quentin‑en‑Yvelines (UVSQ) – Paris Saclay University, France. The group consisted of 34 participants, including master’s degree students and academic members from the university, who visited CRL to study supply chain and logistics operations and to learn about the role of the retail business within the context of sustainable development.
The program began with a special lecture delivered by the management of Central Retail’s Non‑Food Distribution Center, led by Mr. Tanaesorn Nuangjumnong, Supply Chain Director, Non‑Food. During the session, the students were introduced to an overview of Central Retail’s supply chain and logistics operations, covering supply chain planning, warehouse management, and the design of logistics processes that support an omnichannel retail business model. The presentation also highlighted considerations related to resource efficiency, safety, and environmental impact.
In addition, Mr. Tanaesorn shared perspectives on integrating sustainability into business operations, such as improving energy efficiency, optimizing warehouse space utilization, and developing work processes aimed at reducing waste. The session concluded with an interactive discussion, allowing students to exchange ideas and ask questions directly.
Following the lecture, the students took part in an on‑site visit to observe actual operations within the distribution center. The tour was led by Mr. Nopparith Vongkrajang, Head of Supply Chain – Omnichannel Distribution Center, together with department heads from various units, who guided the students through different operational areas. This site visit enabled the students to gain practical insights into supply chain processes, from inbound receiving and storage to distribution and coordination across teams under the omnichannel distribution concept. The experience demonstrated how technology and process management are applied to enhance operational efficiency while supporting long‑term sustainability objectives.
The University Visit not only served as a platform for knowledge sharing in supply chain and logistics between the business sector and academia, but also reflected CRL’s role in supporting experiential learning. It provided students with an opportunity to deepen their understanding of the challenges faced by the retail industry within the context of sustainable economic, social, and environmental development.
